As a hay fever and asthma sufferer the thunderstorm asthma warnings which are now much more common accross social media etc. are great for informing sufferers to be more careful such as not going outside or remembering medication etc. it would also be great if people would delay lawn mowing on these days. I don't think I've ever seen so many people mowing lawns as I have today, a day with a high pollen count and moderate thunderstorm asthma warning. Maybe organisations which put out warnings of high pollen counts could advise people from lawn mowing so as to make a bad situation worse. In many cases mowing could just be organised the following or another day.
Pixie absolutely agree! I think about it every time I’m outside on high pollen days. It does seem to be when people decide to mow their lawn but perhaps I’m just noticing it more.
